Biography

Born in western New York and raised in West Virginia, I have always had a passion for video games. My earliest childhood memories are of me playing Super Mario Bros. 3 and Duck Hunt on our Nintendo Entertainment System, while my older siblings were in school. I grew to appreciate more complicated gameplay and narrative by playing games such as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Metroid. It was Final Fantasy VII that cemented my love for the RPG genre and made video games a staple in my life.

Eventually, I found my way to Marshall University where I earned a Bachelor’s in Sports Management and Marketing. Always fascinated by technology, I would obtain an Associate’s degree in Computer Information Systems. While working on this degree, I managed a vintage game store and did console repairs.

Eventually these skills allowed my to work in the Information Technology field, which led me to West Virginia University to work. I decided to turn my love of video games into a career creating them, and enrolled in the Master’s in Game Design program, where I maintain a 4.0 GPA and am set to graduate in May 2025. This is where I began to fully create The Nomad’s Curse. I will be representing WVU at the Game Developer’s Conference 2025 in San Francisco, California.

Across all the education and work experience I have obtained, I am now looking to fully jump into the world of game design! I bring a wide skillset to any team, as well as experience in professional, enterprise environments. I am a fast learner and always ensure that I meet due dates while also maintaining a high quality of work. Additionally, I enjoy traveling all over the world and experience new places and cultures.
